WinDEETS privacy policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Turbo Client Systems, Inc. collects, uses, and protects information when you use the WinDEETS website (the "Site") and the WinDEETS desktop application (the "Software").

The company-wide privacy notice of Turbo Client Systems, Inc. is at https://www.turboclientsystems.com/privacy. Read it together with this policy.

2. Information we collect

On the Site: contact form submissions (name, email address, and message content you choose to provide); analytics, if you consent via our cookie preferences, Vercel Web Analytics measures how visitors use the Site (what it may store is listed in section 4); analytics is off by default and only runs after you opt in; cookies, strictly necessary cookies required for the Site to function, and optional analytics cookies.

From the Software: nothing at startup. The Software reads the event logs on your PC, sends no usage telemetry and does not contact us to verify a license. A build installed outside the Microsoft Store makes an anonymous update check, which windeets.com handles like any other request to the Site; the Store build makes none. Signing in copies none of your data anywhere. If you are signed in and press Send on a bug report, the Software sends it to windeets.com, which files what the report panel listed before you pressed Send as an issue in an internal Turbo Client Systems repository.

When you download the Software, accepting the terms records nothing about you.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to: operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Software; respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form; and understand aggregate usage patterns, only where analytics consent has been granted. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and consent

The Site uses a cookie consent manager that lets you choose whether to allow analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies, required for the Site to function, are not subject to this choice. You can change your analytics preference at any time using the "Cookie preferences" control in the Site footer.

What the Site itself stores, as read from the production build on October 19, 2026: before you choose, nothing. When you choose, it saves that choice in your browser's local storage under the key tcs-consent and asks again after 395 days. If you allow storage, it may also save your language choice under the key windeets-site-language. These are the only items the Site stores itself.

If you allow analytics, Vercel Web Analytics measures visits. Vercel's documentation (https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy, read October 20, 2026) lists what it may store with each data point: event timestamp, URL, dynamic path, referrer, filtered query parameters, geolocation, device OS and version, browser and version, device type and the Web Analytics script version, used for aggregated statistics only. It says visitors are identified by a hash created from the incoming request, discarded after 24 hours, and that it works without third-party cookies. Whether it sets a cookie of its own, and whether it stores IP addresses, is not stated in those words, and we have not verified either for this site.

The home page has a video from YouTube. It loads nothing from YouTube until you press play. When you press play, your browser requests the video from youtube-nocookie.com, so YouTube receives your IP address and browser details, and it may set cookies on that domain. We do not control them, and Google's policies govern them.

5. Third-party service providers

We use the following third parties to operate the Site: Vercel, which hosts the Site, screens automated traffic and receives the requests the Site serves; Microsoft, whose mail service delivers contact form messages to our support mailbox; Vercel Web Analytics, also from Vercel, for aggregate Site usage statistics, only when you've opted in via cookie preferences. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. The home page's video comes from YouTube (Google), only after you press play, through youtube-nocookie.com.

6. Data retention

Our rule is to keep a contact form message for 90 days and then delete it. We have not confirmed that a retention policy that deletes items at 90 days is in place on the mailbox that receives it. The message is also saved in the Sent Items of the mailbox the form sends from, and we have not confirmed a policy there either. Until we confirm them, treat the 90 days as our rule and not as a guarantee.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing, for example, under the GDPR if you're in the EU/EEA/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA if you're a California resident. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@windeets.com.

8. Children's privacy

The Site and Software are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International data transfers

If you access the Site or Software from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site or Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Contact
